Product Description
Use this cable adapter to connect your Mac with a Mini-DVI video output port to an external monitor, TV, projector or other display device with HDMI input. Plug the Mini-DVI end into your Mac, and connect the HDMI end to an HDMI (male to male) cable, then plug the cable into your HDMI input input jack. Compatible models:12-inch PowerBook G4, Intel-based iMac, the MacBook Intel-based laptop, the Intel-based Xserve, and the 2009 Mac Mini.
Helpful Notes: This device is intended to function more as an adapter than as a cable, meaning its short length WILL NOT reach from your Mac to the monitor. It will need to be used with an HDMI cable (sold separately).
In addition, this adapter works only with Mini-DVI ports, not with Micro-DVI or Mini Display Ports. To quickly check what port you have: this adapter has a U-shaped connector that will match the U-shape found on Mini-DVI ports.
Highest resolution supported: 1920x1200 @60Hz.

this is a relatively cheap adapter, it does the job perfectly. still in a week time the shield appeared at the corner where there was a little twisting, only for that I do not believe it is a great adapter but still it is doing the job. and I still recommend it for the cheap price and quick delivery.

For all who want to buy this product please be fore warned that it does not transmit sound to the TV speakers which there is yet another cable for that application. I would reccomend that the cable's title should read "Mini-DVI to HDMI (female) adapter cable for Apple Mac - No audio". This would prevent returns in the future when someone finds this out too late...ahem..

Cheap price and quality. Unusable because screen flashes a few times a SECOND. Price too good to be true. Sorry.
 Didn't match the connector on my iBook June 29, 2010

Cable looked fine, but it didn't match the mini-DVI on my older Mac iBook, despite having an identical symbol to the iBook's jack. Not worth shipping it back, maybe if I get a newer model sometime in the future?

I was sceptical when I bought this now I watch internet movies and tv all the time. Easy to hook up to a hdmi cable in seconds. Does cut a small amount of in the conversion but I think that has more to do with apple or a setting on my tv. The cord is much longer than the picture too. don't hesitate on buying this its worth it.
